History of the Florida May Day Federation

The Florida May Day Federation was established in Orlando in the Spring of 2005. On May Day, 2005 the Federation and Orlando Food Not Bombs co-sponsored a May Day picnic at Lake Eola Park in downtown Orlando. On May Day, 2006 the Federation co-sponsored the Anarchist Bloc at the huge–20,000+ participants– immigrant rights march in downtown Orlando. This bloc brought together anarchists from South and Central Florida who marched to show their support for the struggle of immigrants for freedom, equality, dignity and better lives.
